Gear Welding Services was selected by Fletcher Construction and Brian Perry Civil as the main engineering company on site at the Tauranga Harbour Link project for the 2 1/2 years duration of the project.

This project linked Tauranga and Mount Maunganui with a four lane expressway across Tauranga harbour. 

Gear Welding Services undertook for the majority of the welding necessary to complete the Harbour Link. We were responsible for several aspects of the project including the Reo Casings, Fabrication of the Foot Bridge, Fabrication of the Jetty, as well as fabrication of many brackets.

Brent Gear headed up the team from Gear Welding Services working on the Harbour Link project, and says: "On a job with so many strands everyone had to stay flexible and be prepared to put in the hours; well into the night if need be."
